Programs of Study
iPad Program
iPad Program
Paraclete High School is proud to be the first school to offer School Wide Mobile Technology.
We implemented the 1:1 iPad Program in 2013 to prepare our students for success in college and the workforce. The world around us means we interact with intelligent and refined technology everyday, so we chose to bring technology into the classroom and teach the importance of responsible usage to our students.
STEAM Approach
STEAM Approach
You might be familiar with the term STEM, but at Paraclete, we’re taking it a step further to foster creative thinking and innovation better.
Science, technology, engineering, arts & design, and mathematics are the pillar of the STEAM approach that we use to ensure our students have the opportunity to choose well-rounded classes that are meant to challenge, teach, and allow them to innovate on their own.
CyberPatriots Program
CyberPatriots Program
This extracurricular program is part of a national initiatives to teach students to become the next generation of defense. The National Cyber Education Program challenges students to think like true IT professionals, to find network vulnerabilities, develop cybersecurity, and maintain critical IT services.
Robotics
Robotics
Paraclete offers introductory courses in robotics, so students are introduced to concepts like programming. Together, teams build, program and test increasingly complex robots. This elective course has created bright robotic minds at Paraclete, and we’ve qualified to compete at the national level twice in recent years.
Computer Science
Computer Science
From foundational computer science concepts to beginning to code in Java and Python, Paraclete offers students who demonstrate an interest and affinity for the field to grow their skills. We’re proud to offer an Advanced Placement (AP) Computer Science course as well.
Being a Responsible Digital Citizen
We are determined to foster each student to become effective communicators, critical thinkers and productive individuals. In the age of technology, that requires we instill a standard of integrity in our students around their usage of technology.
Secure learning environment
Your child’s safety is of the utmost importance to us, and that extends to the digital world.
At Paraclete, our secure school network allows us to moderate the content our students have access to, while providing 24/7 access to educational resources.
All freshmen students learn about being responsible digital citizens from day one. Learn more about the freshman application process here.
Technology in the Classroom
We regularly mentor and train our staff as well as our students to use technology productively and properly.
As part of our STEAM initiatives, we encourage educators to bring technology into the classroom and incorporate tech into their lesson plans. This pairs seamlessly with our 1:1 iPad program, which allows teachers to teach on an individual level to reach each student where they are.
